Why Training Matters
Having an AED on-site doesn't guarantee someone can use it
Taiwan sees over 10,000 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests each year. While AED availability continues to grow, bystander intervention rates remain low. The problem is rarely a lack of equipment — it's a lack of practice. When the moment comes, people freeze.

AED Managers Are Required by Law
Under the Regulations Governing Emergency Medical Equipment in Public Places , venues with an AED must designate a trained AED Manager, register with the national database, and complete refresher training every two years. Non-compliance may result in administrative penalties.
Muscle Memory Matters More Than Knowledge
Proper chest compression depth, rate, and ventilation rhythm are difficult to learn from videos alone. Hands-on practice with CPR manikins builds the muscle memory needed to act instinctively under pressure — not think and fumble.
Good Samaritan Protection Under Taiwan Law
Article 14-2 of《Taiwan's Emergency Medical Services Act 》protects bystanders who act in good faith. Even if the outcome is unfavorable, rescuers are exempt from civil and criminal liability. Training gives your team the confidence to act — with the law on their side.
Meets Occupational Safety Training Requirements
The Rules for the Protection of Workers' Health require employers to provide occupational safety and health training, including first aid fundamentals. CPR & AED courses can count toward your company's required workplace safety training hours.

📌 How to Qualify as an AED Manager
By law, AED Manager qualification requires completing a full-length CPR & AED training session (180 minutes) and passing the practical assessment, plus an online AED Manager course (40 minutes) on the Ministry of Health and Welfare's e-Learning platform. Both certificates must be submitted together to apply for AED Manager registration. KLUX courses fulfill the in-person training requirement. Upon completion, we will guide your organization through the online course and registration process.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is CPR & AED training required for AED Managers? What does the law say?
Yes. Under Article 6 of the Regulations Governing Emergency Medical Equipment in Public Places, venues with an AED must designate a Manager who has completed AED training as announced by the health authority, with refresher training required every two years. KLUX courses meet these requirements — one session covers both general employee first aid training and AED Manager qualification.
Can individuals register for the course?
KLUX only accepts group bookings from companies, institutions, schools, and organizations. Individual registrations are not available. Those with individual training needs may contact the local health bureau, the Red Cross, or the Taiwan AED Promotion and Education Association for open enrollment options.
Where does the training take place? What venue preparation is needed?
KLUX uses an on-site delivery model — our instructors come to your location, so your team doesn't need to travel. All you need is a room with enough floor space for participants to practice CPR. We bring all training equipment, including CPR manikins and AED trainers.
How long is the certificate valid? Is renewal training required?
CPR & AED certificates are typically valid for two years, depending on the issuing organization. AED Manager qualification also requires renewal training every two years by law. As your certificates approach expiration, KLUX offers renewal group sessions to recertify your team in one go.
We already have an AED. Do our employees still need training?
Equipment alone is not enough. When cardiac arrest strikes, responders need to assess quickly, compress correctly, and maintain CPR before and after defibrillation — none of which comes naturally under pressure. Research shows that even trained individuals perform worse in real emergencies. Regular practice is what turns these steps into instinct. And of course, the law also requires AED Managers to complete training and renew regularl
